Not good news

Tue Mar 06, 2018 10:48 pm

I got told tonight Gary Madine will be out for up to a month with an injury.
Hope it’s not true, will find out more.

Any news on Ralls too. He wasn’t even mentioned by Warnock in the injury list. Last I heard he has his knee strapped.

All I know is it’s not looking good for Ralls, having a specialist looking at him tomorrow

Our club is like most Governments, in that we’re very good at burying bad news.

Maybe why we haven’t heard much about Ralls and Madine in the last week.

Spoke to Ralls tonight hopes to be back after the International break.

He was disappointed the Brentford game was rearranged for before and not after the break.

Should have tried harder to sign Grabban. Scoring for fun at Villa. Madine was a huge mistake.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing Warnock has got most things right. Just bad luck I’m afraid. Looks a good player. Plus I think Grabham preferred Villa.

Bit harsh, I admit I'm one that wasn't overly thrilled we spent that amount of money on a player with his goal scoring record, but he's only played 2-3 games and has done alright in them. Lets at least give him some time until we say if he was a good signing or a poor one.

If rails is out I think gunnerson will come in now he is fit and be used as the holding midfielder allowing Grujic to be more creative and box to box akin to rails, so hopefully not a big loss if it’s not for a long period.

It’s truly remarkable how well we have done with the worst injuries I can remember following City for the last 25 years. Unbeliavable!

One of the many things, and there are way too many to list, that I love about Warnock is that he doesn't whinge about all these ridiculous injuries we have suffered since September/October. Let's face it half the time we don't know who is injured until the team sheet is posted and certain players are not in the squad.

Warnock just gets on with it, believes in whoever steps in to replace the crocked players and goes out onto the pitch and gets another 3 points.

The guy has built a squad that he trusts, and more importantly players that trust him and would run through brick walls when the chips are down. He is a genius and very close to my favourite Manager of all time.

In Warnock we trust. :bluebird:

Similar player to Zohore. Zohore will absolutely fire now he has confidence back. Prefer Zohore:

The best thing about the Madine signing is the kick up the arse it gave Zohore who has been a different player since :D

Great post

All season I have marvelled at how NW gets so much more out of the team than the sum of the individual parts. On paper our team looks pretty ordinary when compared to other Championship sides and in most games we get comprehensively outplayed yet there we are sitting pretty in second with more points than Villa, Derby and everyone's favourite team of the week Fulham.

Madine has looked like the missing piece for me. Holds the ball up great. But got injured twice. Not really his fault.
Hes also on 11 goals this season hardly bad.

Def don't work at the club!!

Prognosis better than it was; was initially a season ender.

Sorry for changing your employment history - I was convinced you were Kevin Blackwell  - although you do seem to be more of a reliable source of club information than most. Good news if the Ralls injury isn't as bad as feared.

Warnock said in his press conference post-match that Ralls is having a scan on Thursday (Annis said same last night) and he doesn't know yet if the problem is minor or more serious. fingers crossed.

That's what NW as said give ken a boost! As for madine his strength is holding ball up for others and the we desperately need that as last night showed, we work as a team and our style does not and will not suit a prolific scorer as dont get balls in 6yd area enough and striker as no support usually. But it's got us 2nd so not all bad. :occasion5:
Brabbham did not want come here he was looking for bigger club let's just hope it bites him on arse his decision.

Re: Not good news

Wed Mar 07, 2018 4:08 pm

Didn't Madine get injured when the Brizzle centre half charged into him on the edge of the area? He was holding his ribs for the final 5 minutes of the 1st half & Ken came out for the 2nd half. Also broken nose from the Millwall centre half challenge. Don't think he's being targetted do you? Surely not!!! We are the thugs aren't we???

Re: Not good news

Wed Mar 07, 2018 4:16 pm

Madine may have scored 11 goals for Bolton however they play different football to us, more to his advantage, for us he will be made to work harder, hold up play, bring others into the game, that's why he is being targeted, I think he will be a fantastic striker once fully fit. I just don't think he will be the striker who will fire 20+ for us every season

Re: Not good news

Wed Mar 07, 2018 4:23 pm

Yes I know why he's being targetted. My point is it's a little harsh for some to blame him for getting himself injured.
