CCFC Team News

Craig Bryson is currently on loan from Sunday’s opponents Derby County, and won’t be available for selection this weekend.

Injury latest on Ralls and Gunnarsson

Warnock updates on his injured crop...

NEIL WARNOCK;

“We’re not going to risk anybody. Gunnarsson is training with us now, he’s in the mix of it and it’ll be good to see him back in the fray. He’s going to play the first half with Iceland next week to see how it goes.
We will have eight games left after the window and if we can get Gunnarsson and Ralls back and so on. It will make it difficult for me but I’ve told the lads, I’ll just be picking the best 11 and 18 for each game. It has to be like that and it’s better to be like that than not having a choice.”

DCFC Team News

Tom Huddlestone is out of the game due to suspension following his sending off against Nottingham Forest last weekend. Rowett also has Joe Ledley, George Thorne (both calf) and Sam Winnall (knee) sidelined by injury, while leading goalscorer Matej Vydra is also a serious doubt, after missing out last week due to a groin problem.

About Derby County

Derby County Football Club is a professional association football club based in Derby, Derbyshire, England. Their home matches are played at Pride Park Stadium, where the club moved in 1997.

Notable for being one of the 12 founder members of the Football League in 1888, it is one of only ten clubs to have competed in every season of the English football league system and, in 2009, was ranked 137th in the top 200 European football teams of the 20th century by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics.

Derby County F.C. was founded in 1884, by William Morley, as an offshoot of Derbyshire County Cricket Club; it has spent all but four seasons in the top two divisions of English football. The club's competitive peak came in the 1970s when they were twice English League Champions and competed in major European competitions on four separate occasions, reaching the European Cup semi-finals, as well as winning several minor trophies. Additionally, the club was a strong force in the interwar years and won the 1945–46 FA Cup.

The club adopted its now traditional black and white club colours in the 1890s and appropriated its club nickname The Rams, a tribute to its links with the First Regiment of Derby Militia, which took a ram as its mascot and the song "The Derby Ram" as its regimental song, at the same time.

We drew 0-0 at home to Derby at the end of September.

Cardiff City fans will be waking up pretty happy this morning after seeing their side go seven point clear over third place last night.

The Bluebirds turned in an impressive team performance at Griffin Park to see off Brentford to the tune of 3-1.

They were forced to come from behind after an early Neal Maupay strike but goals from Sol Bamba, Callum Paterson and Kenneth Zohore did the trick.

Aston Villa's defeat to QPR means Neil Warnock's side are now seven points clear of third but remain three points off the top spot after Wolves beat Reading.

Bookies backing Cardiff to go up

The bookies are growing increasingly confident that Cardiff City will be playing Premier League football next season.

Sky Bet unsurprisingly have Wolves as overwhelmingfavourites to go up at 1/100, but their odds on who will join them are a little more interesting.

Cardiff City are now at 2/7, while Fulham are at evens, with Aston Villa now 15/8.

The next few weeks will be crucial.

Parking is very difficult around the ground and the closer you get to it the bigger the nightmare it is getting away.

I recommend the Navigation Inn, London Road. They have match day parking and its only a 10 minute walk to the ground. Just try and get there early.

Don't go telling everyone about the Navigation. I wont be getting there too early and still want somewhere to park. By the way its now a fiver for parking.

Ref is Andrew Madley.

City have a 100% record with him this season. Away win at Boro. Home wins v Brentford and Sunderland.

He has officiated Derby twice, one loss v Sheff Utd and one win v Forest.
