Len Ashurst
Jimmy Mullen
Jimmy Goodfellow
Alan Durban
Frank Burrows
Eddie May
Terry Yorath
Kenny Hibbitt
Phil Neal
Russell Osman
Billy Ayre
Bobby Gould
Alan Cork
Lennie Lawrence
Dave Jones
Malky Mackay
David Kerslake
Ole Gunnar Solskjær
Danny Gabbidon
Scott Young
Russell Slade
Paul Trollope
Neil Warnock

Since my first game following City I have been lucky to support us through some memorable and good times with some classy managers but for me Neil Warnock is the best. Just love the guys passion and how he goes about his job in building a team. This is no disrespect to any of the above because I loved the Ashurst, May and Malky years but our Neil has built something special. Opinions? :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

He would certainly be in my top three along with Jimmy Scoular and Eddie May. :bluescarf:

May, Burrows and Warnock for me...All 3 had the same things in common...they united the fan base, all hard working honest teams and all thrived on the underdog mentality

Sorry but Jimmy Andrews has got to be in there. If you ever watched the Evans Alston partnership you would know why.

Who can ever forget "Lenny Ashurst's bushy eyebrows" or "Eddie May's barmy army" or "Don't sack Mackay, Malky Mackay......" :ayatollah:

Loved all those managers but I'm hard pushed to put them in front of Sir Neil Warnock. For a man of his age his enthusiasm and love for the game is beyond belief. Add those to his sense of humour, tactical nous, eye for a player and man management genius and it's hard not to say he has it all.

I think the final straw that nails him on as the best manager is his love of the fans and the club and the way he has brought us back together and unified from top to bottom.

If we get promoted he will be a deity in my eyes. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :bluebird:

I've only been watching since Gould but I can't really remember anything before Cork.
Warnock is 100% the best I've seen. :ayatollah:

Warnock hands down the best manager I've seen following the City, for me he is up there with the best managers of all time, and when his time is called, there won't be a dry eye in the house but until that time Neil, please keep uniting our fanbase and giving us football to relish, it isn't always pretty but its bloody effective and our fans love it :bluescarf:

Schoular was the first manager I saw and as my memory fades I think he was replaced by Frank Offarell who brought in Jimmy Andrews who replaced him after a short stint. Was there somebody else after Jimmy Schoular? For me Warnock the best manager, May's achievement was in a lower league. The best football was arguably under Dave Jones, shame he was a tosser

Certainly the best in my time considering the money spent and the team he has built. Dave Jones is second but some distance behind him.
