" NEW PICTURES PRESENTED BY DERBY COUNTY "

The EFL says it "remains satisfied" with the reasons behind the postponement of Derby County's Sky Bet Championship fixture with Cardiff City.

EFL Statement:

We remain satisfied that the decision to postpone the fixture was the correct one in the circumstances at the time and that Derby County had made every effort to ensure the game had the opportunity to be played. They also communicated with the relevant stakeholders as it became clear it was in doubt due to safety concerns.

Hardly any snow in the 6.11am one! There's a car on the road. Someone walking. And clearly see that snow is melting as people or vehicles are moving over it. All this before the sun is even up! Wow! EFL been done a kipper!

Suppose they're all just pussies in Derby.

Can they release pictures from a few weeks ago when they played Fulham. Apparently it was a lot worse that day but it would be good to see some evidence.
I doubt they will though as they are conveniently forgetting that game went ahead.

Those pictures are now the yardstick to gauge if game can go ahead and efl can do fck all about it if game is called off on h&'S grounds ! If they deemed this amount of snow as dangerous god help us all.

Nope. In the BBC article. There is a quote 'lessons have been learned and we will address them." In other words Derby used it as an excuse, we (the EFL) know that, but they followed the rules and it's the rules that need to change.

I think everyone including the EFL know what happened but because there was a weather warning out Derby would have a strong legal case if any action was taken.
Best thing we can do is go up there and beat them

All they can do is put in new procedures for how to call game off! H&S rules are nothing to do with efl in regards to calling game off if it doesn't relate to pitch , the pictures shown are the reasons why game is called off so any other club with snow worse than this can claim fans H&S are at risk also level of stewards able to attend game was another reason it was called off what can efl say if club uses this situation as reason ? Efl have opened potential can worms

Yes. Exactly that. It would almost have been better to charge Derby and dock them points to stop others doing it. I feel this is only going to encourage it.

Maybe the 'new' procedures will be so strict it's easier to get the next 'cheat' and then the fact they are charged will be the discouragement for others. If that makes sense?!

Can if worms summed it up well! Lol

Problem is sag have the legal power to call of any event and efl have absolutely no say in matter! so if a club says it's not safe are sag going to risk being sued if someone breaks leg on snowy ground doubt it that's probably why sag agree to derby's request even though the person with responsibility was actually not in derby?

What the area is like at 06:15 shouldn't be considered the decision was made after 8am.

Think it's time to close this chapter everyman and his dog know derby manipulated the situation! Just have to wait see what efl do to sort out this kind of minipulation? Not sure if they can though as snow outside ground is not their problem it's sag's! The bench mark as been set by latest pics and blame culture will ensure sag will side on caution if snow worse than at derby.
