What's happening with refs?

Sat Apr 14, 2018 7:47 pm

I put out a post regarding ref missing blatant and clear red card and pen when perfectly positioned to see it! Well today in Chelsea game a player 5yds from ref goes over top and nothing given? Now in spurs game same thing less than 5yds away perfect position nothing for over top tackle! Can they not see something so blatant? No wonder not one in world cup if they cannot see such incidents, One suggestion is that they were to close to incident! !!

Apparently so but hand ball is subjective accidental or not? what I am describing are blatant red card offences seen by refs but not given when every pundit as said unquestionably red card! !

Refs have always made poor decisions. Difference now is there are more and more games televised, virtually every controversial decision in every PL and Championship game is analysed, and there are far more camera angles available than in years gone by. If a ref gets 90% of his decisions right, it does'nt really matter. It's the 10% that will be replayed over and over.

Exactly.
Nothing is happening with referees at all, in fact they’re probably a lot more consistent then they were years ago.
Ref gave a penalty for Man City against Spurs earlier when the foul was outside the box. Always been the same.

Agree about more cameras to highlight things but you take look at all 3 incidents I've mentioned and it's nothing to do with cameras as all were seen by refs last 2 they were within 5yds of incidents with clear sight of what happened yet nothing was given! Souness went as far as saying he shouldn't be a ref if didn't see takle or at least needed glasses! ! These are not poor decisions they are unfathomable when you see them, in case of Southampton it changed game against them
