It's very hard to predict this one. Usually id say a draw would be a good away result but in our current position I'm left with no option but to say 2-1 to Bluebirds
Tue Apr 24, 2018 3:05 pm
1-1 but hope I'm wrong

Was so nervous watching us v forest keep it tight people say and grab a goal.
If it was a better team than forest we would of lost. They had chances on the break and should of scored more.
Derby will score those chances make no mistake.
I think we are at are best going for it we could win by a bigger score line then .
Anyway i think it will be the same as the forest game tight and grab a goal just hope it doesn't be the undoing of us.
Warnock knows best im just a dummy .
Dummy or not we have to win the game to keep the upper hand lets hope the preasure isnt to much for us all.
Really hope we win added spice to the game should be good
City to win 2-1
Comon the bluebirds

Some words from the opposition
Derby boss Gary Rowett has offered up a rallying call for his side ahead of tonight’s clash
“We are playing against a good Cardiff side, a Cardiff side that tests you in a real physical way, and a side in very good form.
“We are aware of that, we know what we have to do and it is about going and doing it rather than talking about doing it.
“It is time for action rather than words.”

Carson expecting emotional encounter
Derby goalkeeper Scott Carson admits there is likely to be “a lot of emotion” at Pride Park tonight, particularly in light of last month’s snow-gate controversy.
The former Liverpool keeper said:
“They’ve got things that they’re playing for and so have we.
“Both teams will be wanting to get the win and it’s going to be a massive game anyway.
“I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of emotion involved in that game and I’m sure the fans will get behind us.”
“He’s [Warnock] a big character and he likes to get at people.
“He has looked for a reaction and when he comes here, I’m sure he’s going to get a bit off the fans for that.
“It’s just going to probably make for a better atmosphere and, hopefully, that will help us.”

Don’t be surprised if Madine starts tonight, as with Norwich away. He will be a big test for the centre backs, before Zohore comes on in the second half.

This might well be the case but he adds nothing imo.

Callum Paterson looks set to return to the starting XI in place of Craig Bryson who is ineligible to face his parent club.
Elsewhere, Sol Bamba could well start at centre-back, with Bruno Manga shifting to right-back if Lee Peltier isn’t fit.

Sean Morrison first goal scorer tonight with betfred 22/1 had to put £5 on that
Tue Apr 24, 2018 6:48 pm
A bright start for the Bluebirds as Gunnarsson launches a long throw into the box towards Morrison, but Derby clear.

Brilliant atmosphere

Plenty of snow related chants from the away end, and credit to the hosts, they’re in terrific voice too.
On the pitch, Jamie Ward plays a nice pass forward to Madine in the box, but the striker is knocked off the ball and the attack comes to an end.

Madine hunts down Curtis Davies and Hoilett wins the ball before charging through on goal, but the Canadian is well challenged but took a knock for his troubles.
Derby go up the other end and Weimann runs at goal after pouncing on Bamba’s mistake, he squares it to Lawrence who drills at goal from 10 yards out, but Etheridge does brilliantly to thwart the Welshman.

Etheridge brilliant save

Holier back on his feet after treatment

So far Derby 70% of possession City 30%

Def should of been a penalty to City
Tue Apr 24, 2018 7:07 pm
Replay seemed to show him sticking his elbow out.
Tue Apr 24, 2018 7:09 pm
Mmm I said before refs are blind? Someone tell me how he didn't see that as a deliberate handball? ref 10yds away right in front of him and didn't see it !?!
Tue Apr 24, 2018 7:09 pm
Definite penalty. Commentators agreed. We're having no luck lately. Ffs

Etheridge having a blinder so fast off his line
Tue Apr 24, 2018 7:31 pm
Jamie Ward fires over from distance after Madine wins another header.
Tue Apr 24, 2018 7:31 pm
H/T 0-1
Tue Apr 24, 2018 7:35 pm
Brilliant to go into half time ahead. But we need to stop these defensive mistakes in the second half, Derby could have had two or three goals from them. I think Madine and Ward have done their jobs well so far.
Tue Apr 24, 2018 7:38 pm
That Paterson finish was world class can see ending up at a big club in a couple of years time. Etheridge has been awesome too and Madine winning everything in the air.
Tue Apr 24, 2018 7:42 pm
Couldn't get my head around ward starting but I guess Neil thought they may play with wingbacks and we usually seem to struggle with teams who play with wingbacks and ward has put in a good shift.
