Sacking Sam Allardyce and appointing Marco Silva could end up costing Everton an eye-watering £16m.

Everton are yet to resolve their dispute with Watford over the alleged tapping up of Silva last year and Sky Sports News believes that settlement alone could cost Everton as much as £8m.

Added to that, paying up the 12 months left on Allardyce’s contract – plus a bonus for keeping Everton in the Premier League – will cost the club around £6m.

Finally, the contract settlements for Allardyce’s backroom staff including Sammy Lee, Craig Shakespeare and Martyn Margetson is likely to cost a further £2m.

Its ok , the loyal fan base will pay for that. All factored into season ticket prices.

So they should Everton fans moan like feck about everything !!!

They would have gone down if it wasn't for Allerdyce, yet they moan they don't like his style of play, Stoke and WBA fans were doing the same not so long ago.

Would have kept him if I was Everton.

He took Bolton to Europe and Everton are the sort of club he could have done that with again.

Marco Silva seems likely for them, but a bit of a risk. At least you can pretty much guarantee survival with Allardyce. Would happily have him at City if we didn’t have Warnock - although his wages would make that unlikely.
