IPSWICH TALK TO ROSS

Sky Sports News understands Ipswich Town have held talks with St Mirren boss Jack Ross about becoming their new manager.

Ross, though, is one of several candidates in the frame for the job, including Shrewsbury Town manager Paul Hurst and former Sunderland manager Simon Grayson.

Ipswich owner Marcus Evans hopes to appoint Mick McCarthy’s successor by the end of the month.
