DARREN MOORE: NO HESITATION ACCEPTING WBA JOB

Monday 21st May 2018

Darren Moore revealed he accepted the role "instantly" after being unveiled as West Brom's permanent new manager.

The Baggies, relegated to the Sky Bet Championship, appointed Moore as head coach on Friday after the 44-year-old's impressive stint as caretaker boss.

"I'm extremely proud," Moore told a press conference. "It's a great moment for me. I accepted the offer instantly. I'm really looking forward to the job ahead."

The 44-year-old former Albion defender has signed an "improved and extended contract" having initially been given the role on a temporary basis following Alan Pardew's dismissal at the start of April.

Moore steered West Brom to three wins - including victories against Manchester United and Tottenham - and two draws in six Premier League matches. The revival staved off relegation until the last week of the season and restored pride during the closing stages of a miserable campaign.
