DARRON GIBSON GETS COMMUNITY ORDER

Darron Gibson has been given a two-year community order at South Tyneside Magistrate's Court after admitting drink driving.

The 30-year-old was released by the Black Cats earlier this year over the incident.

District Judge Roger Elsey did not jail him after hearing the former Sunderland player was going through a number of psychological issues at the time, for which he is now receiving treatment.
