Here's what Derby County have said about Rowett's move...

A statement read: Derby County Football Club can confirm that Gary Rowett has left the club after the Rams agreed to release him from his contract and join Stoke City.

Rowett confirmed that he wished to speak to Stoke about the possibility of joining them and both clubs have subsequently agreed compensation terms in order for him to move to the bet365 Stadium.

We wish to place on record our thanks to Gary for his contribution during his time as Manager. The process for recruiting a new Manager is underway and the club will make further comment as and when it is appropriate to do so.

That last paragraph should have read "We wish to place on record our thanks to Gary for his contribution during his time as Meteorological Manager. The magnificent professionalism he demonstrated in organising the snow dances was paramount in our finishing in the top six"

It's looking like it might be Dean Smith from Brentford to replace him.

At the time I said loyalties in football are paper thin. Someone somewhere will blow the lid on snowgate sooner rather than later.

Derby were 2nd at start of February then imploded and had it not been for the blizzards could well have not even made the play offs under this guy..i dont get it.
