Similar to Saadi, fans were desperate for Welshman Huws to thrive, but he couldn't do enough to convince Warnock who let him sign a permanent deal with Ipswich following a loan spell at Portman Road.
Huws has endured a torrid 2017-18 campaign, with injuries restricting him to just five appearances for the Tractor Boys.
Verdict: In the long-term, Huws may well have fulfilled his promise with Cardiff. But Warnock has no time for ifs, buts and maybes. It remains to be seen how Huws fares at Ipswich.
