Really??? I’m actually very impressed with this and I hope it’s true, I trust Warnock 100% so what’s good enough for him is good enough for me. Bring it on I say and let it happen

To be fair, fella, this is 'Dahboy' writing these comments and sadly he has the desperate desire to be the most negative poster on this Forum! ;)

If we announced Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey were signing today with Pep Guardiola in charge, he would find something negative in it! It is what he does...and it's deliberate not just ramblings!

ill be honest it doesn’t excite me either especially with the reported fee and already 30. I would understand if it was a loan but I don’t see the value in paying big money for someone 30 and of course the big contract that comes with someone who costs a big chunk.

Is it a proposed loan or a purchase?

Seems to me that West Ham United hierarchy (rather than the manager) want him gone for some reason, so puts any suitor clubs in a good position to negotiate and a loan would maybe suit all parties? :thumbright:

Not sure, I keep seeing 10/12m reported which I think would be madness for a player who was available on loan last season.

A loan would make sense but I guess West Ham would like to recoup something for him.

Agree we are sure to sign a set piece specialist

Though towards the end Whittingham was losing it, he has Whits earlier attributes plus a bit extra in other areas, I cannot stress enough how important set piece play is going to be, especially against top six sides.

Karen Brady called him out as a flop publically be very hard to bring him back into the fold now he's got to leave basically - one of the reasons I've been so keen for us to go in and get him as soon as we went up - very much doubt they'd get £10M they spent on him given the situation unless a bidding war kicks in.

we are only allowed 2 loans from another premier league club this season, with the quality available at the top clubs i would be disappointed if we used one up on snodgrass, that goes for grucic as well, would rather we went for the likes of tammy abraham or diaz from man city and get some real premier league quality in

abraham did little last season, and we arent going to be creating a load more chances than swansea did

I wouldn’t say Abraham that is “real Premier League quality”. Scored 5 goals in 31 games for Swansea, never scored for Chelsea and that’s why he has been out on loan.

Re: UPDATED “ ROBERT SNODGRASS DONE DEAL? “

Tue Jun 05, 2018 2:35 pm

5 goals in 15 starts, i felt sorry for him down there, they wasn't creating any chances at all, scored 23 in 40 for worzels in the championship and got player and young player of the season for them and i dont recall him ever playing for chelsea. Besides he was an example of what we could be using our loans on

Snodgrass be a good signing imo. People going on about his pace well if we want pace why dont we sign usain bolt? He might not be the fastest winger but he does have decent pace and hes strong, very good technically got a great pass/cross

He won't even be used as a winger.

Hope we don't sign this guy, but the title says done deal so where's the announcement?

Re: UPDATED “ ROBERT SNODGRASS DONE DEAL? “

TBH i've had my doubts too, but not to do with his age, just because I've never rated him above a certain level and as I've previously said don't think he offers us MUCH more than what we already have or what we could get for much less.

Yes, he's 30.

If Arsenal fans can get excited for a 34 year old Right Back, then I'm FAIRLY CERTAIN we can't complain about signing a dude 4 years younger than that lol.

It says done deal with a question mark ie it's a question so no announcement as it's basically not true or at least yet.

I don't agree with the headline but I'm sure it gets hits.

Still no sign of this actually going through so maybe just a rumour again. If it's £10-£12m as reported think that's way too much for a 30 year old, if its more like £6m then it's not such a bad deal...

I wouldn't get to excited at the prospect of signing Snodgrass if I was you because according to West Ham this morning we haven't even made an enquiry about a possible transfer if true is it not a sign of dithering by Warnock and his transfer team

His set-piece delivery is class and we all saw how he won free-kicks even easier than Grealish!

I think he'd be a big hit with us. I would be concerned with his lack of pace but I don't think we'd get much better in a technical sense.
