CARLISLE APPOINT SHERIDAN

John Sheridan has been announced as the new manager of Carlisle United, joining the club after a spell at Fleetwood Town, where he managed the successful turnaround of the club.
He joined Fleetwood when the club was lying 20th in the league, having lost their last eight games, but took them to 14th in Sky Bet League One and deliver a win ratio of more than 45 per cent.
