West Ham have confirmed the signing of Ryan Fredericks on a free transfer after his contract expires at Fulham.
The 25-year-old will join the Hammers on 1 July after agreeing a four-year contract with the club and becomes new manager Manuel Pellegrini’s first summer signing.

Would he still be a mercenary in your estimation IF he'd signed for Cardiff ?
Good player and good luck to him.
I personally think it's a good thing for Cardiff, as losing him certainly weakens Fulham.

Good player going forward but I really don't think he's a good defender
