Apparently Stoke are in for him with a fee of around 10m being discussed.

Not a bad option at that sort of price considering his Premiership experience, pace & eye for a goal.

Thoughts?

Good shout. Gayle would probably bag 10-12 goals in a season for us. Probably double what Ken will, although I would love to be proved wrong!

I believe Gayle was used as a sub quite often.

Yep he does miss a few. At least he is getting into the positions. Messi today missed too, so even the best do miss their share. But for £10 - £12m you won't be able to buy a lot better than Gayle.

Quality player but wouldn’t suit the way we play I don’t think, unless he can play wide in a 3.

Stoke mean business and are being linked with some excellent players at championship level. Already signed Afobe and linked with Huth, Gayle and Hoilett

He is too small to lead the line in how we play.

Not a Premier League striker, and never has been.
