Cardiff City and Serie A side Cagliari have joined the race to sign former Hull City striker Abel Hernandez this summer.
The striker is available on a free transfer after rejecting a deal to extend his stay at the KCOM Stadium into the new season, bringing his four-year stint in East Yorkshire to an end.
Hernandez scored eight goals in ten games for the Tigers in the Championship last season in a campaign that was severely hampered by injury and his impressive haul has alerted a number of clubs of his availability.
Leeds United have been touted as the favourites to sign the Uruguayan this summer, having been strongly linked with a move for Hernandez since the transfer window opened at the end of last season.
However, the Whites face plenty of competition for his signature with Genoa, Celtic, Galatasaray and Wolves rumoured to be interested, and it seems two more clubs have entered the fold.
Premier League new boys Cardiff City have registered an interest in the 27-year-old as Neil Warnock looks to build a team capable of surviving in the top flight next season.
However, reports in Italy are suggesting Sardinian-based Serie A outfit Cagliari are also keeping tabs on the striker and they are keen to take the striker back to the Italian league, where he enjoyed a fine spell with Palermo before moving to City.
