Former Bluebird to leave Preston?

21/06/18

Former Cardiff City striker Eoin Doyle is brace to follow fellow countryman (and recently signed Bluebird) Greg Cunningham out of the door at Preston North End, according to The Irish Sun.

They claim Alex Neil will oversee a clearout of players this summer with many Irish stars to depart.

Senior internationals Daryl Horgan and Andy Boyle — plus Doyle and Kevin O’Connor — are reportedly not in Neil’s plans and will be allowed to leave for a transfer fee in the coming months.

If Doyle had a bit more beef on him including a couple more inches in height he would still be with us.

Getting into those right spaces in the 18 yard box was his strength. Most of his goals came that way. Shame the service was not there.

An odd signing for us really, at a time where we were making cut backs we go out and sign someone for money and then hardly play him and loan him out.
