The Cardiff fans in and around the Transfer Tavern are hoping that significant business is completed this summer so their club has the best chance of doing well in the Premier League.
Neil Warnock magnificently turned Cardiff from a mid-table Championship side to now about to play in the Premier League once again. That job cannot be underestimated and now he has to be given a good amount of money to spend on new players to allow the transition from Championship to the top flight to be successful. Our punters feel that an experienced striker such as Wilfried Bony, (who is valued at £9 million on Transfermarkt) could reach his peak form once again in a blue Cardiff City shirt.
The 29-year-old wasn’t able to personally help Swansea avoid relegation having been injured for the last few months of the season but despite this, he has a wealth of Premier League experience having played over 100 times in the league. Last season he started 8 league games and scored twice. Bony still remains an extremely threatening player for defenders to play against, his strength and power allows him to turn and shoot, getting a shot away.
Cardiff and Neil Warnock are fond of the big target men at the front of their team so buying a player like Wilfried Bony would fall right into their specifications. His time with Swansea maybe over and Cardiff could try and steal from their rivals, showing them exactly what a big mistake they have made.
