Cardiff are set to make former West Brom goalkeeper Matt Hall their fifth summer signing ( Daily Mail)

Cardiff City are close to signing former West Brom academy goalkeeper Matt Hall from Bangor City



Cardiff City are closing on a deal to sign Bangor City goalkeeper Matt Hall.

The 20-year-old former West Brom trainee also had an offer from Hamilton Academical in Scotland's Premiership.

He is likely to go into Cardiff's U23 side initially as he looks to impress manager Neil Warnock and prove that he can compete for a first team spot.


Hall is out of contract but Bangor will still command a nominal compensation fee as he is under 24.

Hall will be Cardiff's fifth signing of the summer after they have already completed deals for Greg Cunningham, Josh Murphy, Bobby Reid and Alex Smithies.

Their Premier League campaign will get underway on August 11 with a trip to Bournemouth.

Well Murphy is 35 I think so obviously this lad is thought of as being one for the future if the story is true.
