Forestieri?

According to the Times, Cardiff City are looking to agree a deal that would take Sheffield Wednesday’s star striker Fernando Forestieri to the Welsh Capital – although Wednesday would be looking for a fee of around £10 million, to take the Argentinian born striker away from Hillsborough.
Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the start of the new Premier League season, and Sheffield Wednesday striker Forestieri would guarantee both goals and would bring a level of intricacy to Warnock’s side, who were criticised for being too direct last season – despite the fact they still secured promotion to the Premier League, as Championship runners-up.

The Argentine-born Italian citizen has an incredible record for Wednesday, with 33 goals in 87 games for the Owls and also a cool 17 goals in 69 games with his previous suitors, Watford.

Forestieri has featured in the Italian youth team, for the country’s U21 side alongside other parts of the country’s youth set-up in the past, highlighting his quality.

The striker would most likely be somewhat tempted by a move to the Premier League, after failing to get his chance in the division with his previous employers, he was moved on to Wednesday – and has proved he is a quality Championship striker.

If Cardiff City gave Forestieri his chance in the Premier League, he could be the difference between an immediate return to the Championship, and survival – with goals ultimately being the thing that Neil Warnock’s side lacked last season.

Whether Wednesday can afford to lose Forestieri, is fairly obvious after a struggling season without the striker for the majority of last campaign -and his tally of 5 goals in 10 games when he was available shows just how important he can be to a team.

Just saw this link too.

I'd take him, always seems to score. Injured most of last season, but still got 5 in 10.
