According to a report from the Sun, Cardiff City are plotting a late swoop for Liverpool forward Danny Ings, but the Englishman's wage demands might prove to be a stumbling block.
Neil Warnock will be desperate to bolster his attacking ranks before the transfer window slams shut this evening at 5pm, and Ings would be just the ticket.
The 26-year-old joined Liverpool on a free transfer from Burnley in the summer of 2016, but he has failed to establish himself at Anfield, with just six Premier League starts for the Reds to his name.
Injuries have played their part, however, and if he keeps himself fit, Ings surely still has a lot to offer at the very highest level.
The Sun claims that Warnock wants to bring Ings to the Welsh capital, but the Liverpool man's wage demands to scupper a potential deal.
