The Premier League will trial VAR at 15 matches this season – starting after the international break, Sky Sports News understands.

The Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) aim to prove the system is fit for purpose before presenting its findings to Premier League shareholders next year, with the aim of fully introducing it from next season.

The first trial will take place for five 3pm kick-offs on September 15 to see if the VAR hub at Stockley Park, near Heathrow, can cope with decisions arising from multiple matches.

I predict a penalty to us for grappling with Morrison :-)

At bloody last!! He seems to get it every game!

Although, having watched the pundits moan about the same thing happening to Kane through the World Cup, what's to bet that "it's just part of the game" when they analyse us?!

Well let's hope refs are consistent but other night pundits dissagreed at what was a pen or not, and same thing 2 different incidents one was a pen other wasn't according the them. Var decisions are subjective by ref so what's different to ref making decisions now?

Good.

A shame that it wasn't used last time we were there and Eto'o kicked the ball when Marshall bounced it (ie still in possession of the ball) and the idiot ref, who wasn't even looking at the incident, gave the goal.

By now we'd have had three penalties for, two against and at least one player sent off.
On the whole though, it's better if the outcomes reflect the actual events in play and it'll be good if people stop impeding Sean Morrison all the time, which referees currently think is quite okay.
