I feel we have a decent squad with an addition of a striker in January we should be fine to stay up . The game against Arsenal was full of promise if we can do that against the lesser teams in the premier league.

Probably slightly stronger and would have stayed up in 2014. However the League is much stronger these days so its going to be a struggle. Enjoying it more though now we are in blue. Doesn't seem phoney like last time. Got to get some points on the board after the Chelsea and Man City games.

The team is stronger with more depth, there more commitment from this squad than there was previously and that has to go down to NW and his staff.

If we play the way we did against a arsenal for the rest of the season then we can finish somewhere between 10th and 15th

100% correct !
And that is exactly what will happen as long as we retain the assets which you've mentioned.

We do need to improve a bit from the Arsenal game in a few key areas, but I'm sure that's in hand. The important thing is constant improvement and progression, which is certainly happening.

Our squad and our fans are as one Annis. Last time as you know neither of us cared if we won drew or lost. I had no connection with the team at all and the sad thing was it wasn’t even the players fault. For me this is our first time in the Premier and I’m so looking forward to every game. :bluebird: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Enjoyment factor is 100% better this go around. Squad is more together even after the new arrivals. We have a manager that changes things up when he sees something isn’t working (formation/tactics). The blue eyed blind favoritism seems to have gone and players are fighting for their chance to start in training. Can’t really ask for more on our budget and given how far we have transformed in past 24 months...
The Arsenal game, although registered as a loss really had me on the edge of my seat and as a Bluebird fan that’s all I want! Keep plugging away, results will come

This is a great summary of my feelings. I thoroughly enjoyed the arsenal game and feel pride in putting on my city shirt for the games (even if I'm not going, living in Coventry). Warnock has got us unified and believing in the team, despite us not spending big. Why not. Team spirit and full support from fans can go a long way. I'd love to see us stay up!

Agree with you both

I felt we had a better squad last time around with a decent manager. We have a better manager this time around with a squad lacking Premier experience. Anyway its pointless comparing as the off pitch activites just last time blew it all up.

100% feels better than last time around, we're a club thats United etc.

I'm not getting carried away with the Arsenal performance as sometimes it's easier to play the big guns as you take the nothing to lose and everything to gain mentality. Unfortunately we still came out of the game with 0 points.

My majour concern is it's nothing like the championship where you can look at the table and feel there's an easy 3 points on offer etc. Even the lesser teams in this league have strikers who can change a game in an instant.

I feel our CBs will be key and if they realise that they belong at this level then we can grind out some 1-0 wins here and there!! We've also got to stick with them when we play these lesser teams and rather than create a nervous atmosphere create an intimidating one.

Easy to get up for Arsental & Man City, need to up it again for Burnly and Fulham!!

Will try and give you an objective view looking from outside as some off you are getting carried away with it all.
Pros
.You play in blue meaning your fanbase is united.
.Harry arter is a fantastic addition to your squad.
.I can see three worse teams than you this season

Cons
.You scored in your second game in 2013.
.You won your first home game against fantastic city team in 2013.
.You lost your second home game in 2018 against a transitional arsenal team with a mediocre away record. Should be winning or drawing this.
.Your 2013 strikers included craig bellamy, Kenwyne Jones, Frazer campbell and joe mason.
.Your 2013 squad included Zaha and a freekick specialist in peter Whittingham.
.I've seen oil tankers turn quicker than bamba. Scary when you think what strikers you have to play against.
. " We have our defence sorted, just need to score goals" lost count that been said by your supporters. In reality you had played Bournmouth away, Newcastle home (against 10 men for 45 minutes) and Huddersfield ( Against 10 men and were the lowest scorers in the division last season).
. Neil Warnock is useless in the premier league, look at his record.
. Your transfer window apart from arter, was shocking. You paid 10million back in 2014! for medel. I think I can afford to pay for the transfers you have had this summer.

Wow. It seems you've tried your hardest to find 'cons' so hardly objective. Bore off back to your own board.

Good question mate

I think our squad is weaker, but then I think the League overall is weaker which in my mind gives us a better chance of survival.

As time goes on the EPL really is developing into two leagues. You look at the 3 teams that went down last year, the previous season WBA had finished 10th, Stoke 13th and Swansea 15h.

West Brom went from a top 10 Premier League side to bottom of the League.

Watford were many peoples tips for relegation this season and they have played 4 won 4.

I think we have as good a chance as anyone, I do wish we chucked a few more quid at it, but I get the Club are being frugal.

I feel the same about Cardiff City today as a did in 2014, they are my Club and I support them to the end :thumbright:

Much stronger squad having spent (relatively) less money both during the promotion season and once promoted. Wages also a lot smaller. The players bought will have more sell on value too.

We also seemingly have a plan b this time as proven against Arsenal.

All in all I’m much happier.

In Warnock I trust.

This squad is far weaker and will struggle all season, no power, quality, Championship squad

It was compared to the 2014 squad.

the team is slightly weaker and has less genuine quality than that of 2013, but is more hardworking with better team spirit.
