Im guessing a high % renewed season tickets when still in prem. When was you cut off to guarantee renewal March/April.

Next season will be when the big drop comes

It’s not difficult to sell out your little stadium
In all seriousness though - It’s quite often like that the first season after relegation. We were the same but the following seasons and beyond get worse as we found out. Also you probably had no idea that you’d be relegated or thought it was unlikely so many renewed before you became aware it was down the plug hole!
Don’t get me wrong, we will probably go down this season too but for now enjoying it.

you think 96% of 21k paying 25 quid each is better than 82% of 37k paying 36 quid each.
if that's the thinking down there it fully explains your financial predicament.

I have some tap water for sale here in used plastic pepsi max bottles..100 quid each. pm me if interested

Or instead of using % you use actual numbers :-

96% of 20000 (Liberty) = 19,200 (btw we had 23,000 first year back in the Championship)
93% of 27,244 (Carrow Road) = 25,336
91% of 26, 850 (The Hawthorns) = 24,621
90% of 30,445 (City Ground) = 27,400
82% of 37,890 (Elland Road) = 31,069

You find Swansea are a small town club with a small stadium which they can't even sell out, whilst ALL of the other clubs referred to have easily beaten Swansea's home average.

Why would you put Liberty down as 20000 and the rest of them exact? The Liberty holds 21,088.

The fact that it doesn't sell out might have something to do with away fans more than home fans.
They came with dreams of doing the double, they left completely outclassed and embarrassed.

Absolutely correct. The club is in free fall and only going one way, and it is not up.

Not really, so far its been more to do with segregation and nothing to do with away fans as you have played 3 teams at home so far Preston (sold 800 of a 1032 allocation), Bristol City Sold Out their allocation, and Leeds Sold Out their allocation.

Your problems will arise when you start to play the sides who only bring 3-400 and you can't shift on the extra tickets to the home fans or you fail to go straight back up, next season you will see your crowds dip back to where they were before you went up last time around 14-15,000. Its inevitable, happens to all Clubs, no shame in it and is a pointless argument.

come back in couple of years (and a couple of managers later) when attendances have dwindled by a few thousand - as others have pointed out, the season after relegation is still full of those that renewed expecting PL football.
