What have the managers said?

Neil Warnock: “I just think they (Chelsea) have gone a bit more attacking, it must be more enjoyable for the lads to play like that.

"You can say they might be more vulnerable at the back but a team like Chelsea has so much possession that it doesn’t get noticed.

"The lads look like they’re enjoying it. Hazard — if he’s not the best wide man in the league, then I don’t know who is!"

Maurizio Sarri said: "I think tomorrow will be a very difficult game. Mentally after the break it is difficult. We play against a very physical team, if we want to gain points we need a very good performance tomorrow. It is very difficult for everyone to play."

View from the opposition: Analysis from Football.London Chelsea writer Oliver Harbord

"From everything that we are hearing the mood is the best that it has been for some time in the camp with Maurizio Sarri bringing a really different energy to the team.

The rules around the training ground have been brought down a little as well, while the training sessions do not go on for quite as long and there is more of an emphasis on technical style.

Of course, four wins from four is going to bring the best out of players, and at the moment they appear to be enjoying themselves on the pitch and off it, which you can tell is making a difference from last year.

The ‘Sarriball’ effect is certainly starting to take hold of the team and what we are seeing from Chelsea now is a real emphasis on possession.

Under Antonio Conte, it was slightly more rigid which meant that at times they found it hard to break teams down. But there is a fluidity to Chelsea’s play now which makes it harder to defend against.

The 81% possession stat at Newcastle was a real eye-opener of what Sarri is trying to bring to the Blues and at the moment it is developing massively and will only get better.

Of course, the main threat is still Eden Hazard and a lot of the attacking play comes through him on the left, with Marcos Alonso also being the standout player of the campaign to date from left-back."
