BREAKING NEWS SKY SPORTS ASTON VILLA

10/10/18

Sky sources understand Aston Villa are considering making Rui Faria their manager with John Terry as his number two.

Faria and Terry know each other from their time at Chelsea.

Faria has worked as Jose Mourinho’s assistant at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Manchester United.

He left his job as United assistant manager in the summer and is represented by Jorge Mendes, the agent who is advising Villa on the appointment.

Thierry Henry is no longer under consideration for the Aston Villa job.

Initial talks were held but circumstances were not right for either party.
Henry is now the leading candidate to become Monaco manager and his representatives have had discussions with the French club.

Rivalries apart, Shi Faria and John Terry would be a good pairing for the Villa...with Terry stepping up at some point in the future :thumbright:
