Breaking Zinedine Zidane quit as manager of Real Madrid after row with owner over Gareth Bale - reports -

Thursday 11th October 2018

Zinedine Zidane quit Real Madrid because of broken promises over Welsh superstar Gareth Bale, a top Spanish newspaper has revealed.

Zidane stunned football when he left the Bernabeu at the end of May, just weeks after guiding the Spanish giants to their third Champions League trophy in a row.

Their 3-1 defeat of Liverpool in the Kiev final saw Bale come off the Madrid bench to net a match-winning two goals with the scores locked at 1-1.

And his amazing overhead first goal led to the trouble between Zidane and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

Respected Spanish paper El Pais claims that goal made the Los Blancos owner go back on his word to sell the Welshman - something Zidane had been campaigning for since the end of the domestic season.

Instead Perez even suggested "Bale is better than Ronaldo", forcing the Frenchman to think about his future.

He wanted to sell Bale to fund a bid for either Mo Salah, Eden Hazard or Harry Kane - and Perez had agreed... until that stunning goal.

Bale will miss Wales' friendly with Spain in Cardiff on Thursday night with a muscle injury.

And Wales boss Ryan Giggs will consult with Madrid before risking Gareth Bale against the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday.

“We are in consultation with Madrid,” Giggs said. “The medical team are constantly in dialogue with Madrid. He has got a little bit of muscle fatigue and he won’t be involved against Spain.

“It’s something of nothing but it’s a short turnaround and we’ll take no chances. I would say he is 50-50 at the moment for the Ireland game.

"He feels good, but we just have to weigh up the risk and whether it’s too much of a risk. If he is able to play, good. If he is not then so be it. We are preparing for both scenarios.”

More embarrassing the way Bale is labelled out there,, injury problems has hampered him in getting more appearances and more goals/assists etc but the guy is World Class, his form for Madrid this season shows that and they lost in the Champions League when he weren't involved, would been different if he was fit for the game he is the difference in games.
I will.
And before anyone els gets in there no im not an ideot abroad

Sign for Cardiff Gareth - you know it makes sense!

Buy yourself out of your contract with Real  and then come to us for £40,000 a week (if we can afford it!)

You've got plenty of money already so that shouldn't be a problem and the weather in Whitchurch is just as good if not better than in Madrid.

Come back home boyo!
