Vince Alm: Let’s not get carried away/ Fantastic first win

VINCE ALM:

Cardiff City Supporters Club

Fantastic first win for us on Saturday against big spending Fulham.

Those of us who have been fortunate enough to attend every Cardiff game this season will not be to surprised by yesterday result. It has taken time for the players to adapt to premier league football, the majority of whom have never played a minute in there. A tough start with fixtures 4 of the top 6 in the first 8 games and two established premier league sides also. However we have seen performances get better each game with Neil Warnock tactics and team selection make a difference as well as the players adapting.

Its only one win and we would all be foolish to get carried away after one win with so long of the season still left. All we ask is what the players are giving us, running through brick walls, learning, battling, leaving it all on the pitch.

I am running out of words to describe our fantastic passionate support. We are making a difference, sticking with the team no matter what is happening on the pitch. Yesterday was up there with the best atmospheres following Cardiff give yourselves a round of applause.

Here is a video I took at the back of the Canton stand as a snapshot of what you sounded like. Men Of Harlech with the words Sung. Many of you may have already seen it as I Posted it on our Cardiff City Fc Fans page last night but here it is again.

Goosebumps :D

Being brutally honest we are in a battle for 17th Position and Saturdays result was just the kind of '6 pointer' which we will need to get against teams in our mini league to secure the last survival slot.

Yeah - it was raucous at the stadium. It must get the players going - i think it helped them. Like Vince said if you can see the players are smashing it every game with maximum effort, the fans will back you even when luck / better skill gets the better of you.
True not to get carried away with a first win but brilliant to get that monkey off the back.
I was so upbeat afterwards i went to the Chapter and bolted back a few Konigs (mistake!) and went for a ruby! Not a young lad anymore so ropey as f*k on the Sunday!
