What’s happened to the Ayatollah?

I can't remember it being sung this season (at home)

No way. Sat amongst the Liverpool fans on Saturday when you lot were doing it all the fans around me were like "what the f**k are them nobheads doing?!" (Read in Scouse accent) It looked brilliant.

It's great, it's unique and I'm sure the players love it too. Let's get it going again at home!

I see Mark Hudson a lot around here and my 7 year old lad does it to him and he returns the favour even now.

I honestly don't think I've been to a game in the last 5 years that it hasn't been done. I like it personally, it's a bit unique and one of the things no one can copy.

The Ayatollah will forever be there at the heart of Cardiff, at the moment the Allez Allez Allez chant is in the spotlight because its catchy, its true, and it is a powerful chant. So don't worry about the ayatollah because it will return one day. But for now it's us welsh against the english Premier League and bring on Leicester this weekend. :ayatollah:

The ayatollah at Liverpool was amazing, we kept it going for a while, repeatedly doing the "oooooooohhhhhhhh Blues!!" I love it, wish we could do it every game, especially away. The ayatollah will never die!!

The Ayatollah will never die. As Sam says, at the moment it's on the back burner, but it will never be extinguished.

Personally I love it because it's OURS, and no other team can take it from us. When you consider all the scousers who whinged (and still do) about us "stealing" their Allez Allez Allez song, you've got to laugh. It wasn't "their" song in 1st place.

But the Ayatollah is something different, no other set of fans will try and steal it because they haven't got a clue what the f**k we are doing. :ayatollah:

Didn't Mo Farrah have a go at it? I think he was in the middle of rehearsing when the bell rang which is why he couldn't hear it.

I also believe we should never have stopped singing "We are Cardiff City, We Will Always Be BLUE" Loved that as we should never forget what it meant to have our true identity back and should never ever happen again :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

It's the universal sign language for Cardiff City supporters. A few years ago I was stuck at traffic lights in Los Angeles. I saw the car next to me had a Cardiff City bumper sticker. I beeped the horn and did the Ayatollah. He did it back with the biggest grin on his face I've ever seen! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Whilst I was sat at traffIf lights during an away fixture near the end of last season, JH scored sparking crazy celebrations in my car. I then seen the guy behind in my rear view mirror reach for his radio before imitating my frantic celebration, including several fist pumps. Due to the timely coincidence, I was pretty certain he was celebrating the same goal, but a quick exchange of ayatollah’s confirmed it. This is why the ayatollah will never die. :ayatollah:

This needs to be a sticky...

Most random place you've 'shared' an Ayatollah?
