ZOHORE BIG LET DOWN

What a big let down for cardiff city after the promotion game against reading i was so optimistic that zohore was going to be a threat in the premier league and excel as our main striker i cannot fathom a player having a great opportunity to be a main striker and to build his reputation and value in the best league in the world, but it seems he does'nt want to bother whats is going on at that tranning ground something is very wrong i watched a rerun of the fulham game and when we scored the whole bench where up on there feet celebrating exept zohore , all that togetherness from last season between the players especially zohore has gone has he been sent to "coventry" by the rest of the team and i thought we had the best man manager in the buisness but he seems to have lost the battle to motivate him, what a big let down for us when we are desperate for a front man and all we can come up with to change things from the bench as a striker is madine, "roll on january" and let's hope things will get better and we can get a striker that wants to play for cardiff city.

Said it all last season he is really just not that good.. few people said the same as me and said he won’t cut it in the prem they all got slated.

He had half a good season couple years back played alright last year nothing special and this year has not made the step up at all.

To think we could of had £15 million for him too

The misjudged faith Warnock has placed in Zohore is one of the biggest reasons we are struggling this season. Warnock is on record as saying we couldn't get anything better than Ken for the money we had. Rubbish. There were plenty of options for strikers who have played at this level or could have also come up from the Championship. They may not have had the same natural talent but perhaps could have had a better hunger. Zohore should be sold in January or go back to Denmark where I predict he will slide back in to the obscurity he came from. A sad case of bags of talent but not the right mental attitude for the top level, much like Chopra.

I'd still give him a run in the team, think he gives us more than anyone else.

The main trouble with Zahore is that he is the worst header of a ball in the box of any no 9 I have ever seen wear a Cardiff shirt. So for a big bloke he poses no ariel threat at all. The opposition have sussed this out now and know that anything coming into the box for Zahore has to be coming in at low level and can react accordingly. People say that the club should work on his heading but I am sure they have. Its just not happening

You never saw Tony Philliskirk or Jorn Schwinkendorf (shrunken dwarf) then.

I saw them both and Zohore is right down there with the two of them,

Disagree with some observations. We all know that his strength is not in the air however he is a far better player up front than Paterson. He holds the ball up well and has a decent shot as highlighted many times last season. (E.g. Fulham, Villa, Burton)

It’s unfortunate that every time he has featured this season he has had no support with him up top whereas Ward/Paterson have. Would have liked NW to have given him a game with Reid just behind. Think he is a confidence player & if he had a run of games and got a goal then more would follow. He has had very limited opportunity this season.

Amazing   Zahore now getting it in the neck .......and he wasn't playing! An easy target for blame seekers. People saying Warnock put too much faith in him
I am not sure he will be a success but I he has had very limited opportunity. Compare with Hoillet!
He seems like a confidence player and as he is a big unit he needs match time to get match fit. For most games I think Zahore is still the best bet with SUPPORT upfront. Provided we decide to play football not hoofball as Zahore is poor in the air. But he now seems 4th choice. WHAT HAS HAPPENED? :sad7:
NW had £10 m but couldn't find better not long ago!
Either way Neil Warnock needs to settle on a centre forward and give him a decent run of games. Warnock has chopped and changed (partly through injuries tbf). ?
For City this year it is not that we are missing good chances but that we area not CREATING enough chances. The exception was Fulham when we played some football on the ground and had pace.

neil has stated and said that apart from cooking his breakfast he cannot do anymore for zahore so obviously he is not turning up and putting the effort in on the training ground hence his limited appearances off the bench so the Idea he has not been given the chance is down to himself not anybody others and when he has come on what has he done not even broken a sweat so critism should be given to someone who is payed for by the club and is not pulling his finger out, he played under neil all last year so something has gone wrong this year.

It seems as if Ken may be one of those frustrating players who see the signing of a new contract as the opportunity to put their feet up and relax for a while.

agree with most of your points here but as Monty says there must be something amiss for our manager to not be picking him..

I know KZ can be frustrating cos his build etc makes you think he could like Lucaku (sorry about the spelling!). But I honestly think KZ is interested and can be bothered. You may be right that"something" has gone wrong in training or his relationship with other players etc - I have no knowledge of that. It is very very strange that he now seems to be behind Patterson, Ward and Madine.
I just think he has had very little opportunity. UnfortunAtely I don't have the figures for number of minutes played and number of chances etc. But only a few games and was feeding off scraps. I remember him forcing a very good save via a toe poke (against Burnley?). who knows if that had gone in things may have been different. But JH has had far more chances to prove he can step up but so far with little success!
Anyway it's a game of opinions I guess, and (for what it's worth) that's mine :bluebird:

plenty of respect for and your opinion and i am giving mine and reading between the lines and what neil has said himself i personaly would like to see zohore start a game for 45 mins and if he makes a hash of it sub him at half time but he obviously has not helped himself but if he was given the first half of a game and did nothing then this would be all there to see to for everyone and prove once and for all what neil has been doing which is getting it right or wrong

I thought the same but in times of need NW has to do something. Just can’t work out why he has never had the support of Reid alongside or just behind lime Ward & Paterson has had. Think that Zohore/Reid could do a job until the transfer window. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Thought Paterson had very average game yesterday.

Who’d have him atm?
He’s just signed a new contract.
