CONFIRMED “ WHO WALES COULD PLAY IN EURO 2020 QUALIFYING “

Now the Nations League groups have been concluded, the pots have been confirmed for the qualifiers of Euro 2020.

There will be ten groups in total, five with five teams in and six with six teams in (England, Portugal, Holland and Switzerland are all guaranteed to be in one of the groups of five, as these are the teams in the Nations League Finals and require a spare match block for that event).

The top two teams from each group are guaranteed a spot in Euro 2020. The additional four teams to qualify will be determined by the Nations League play-offs. If a team who is in the Nations League play-offs have qualified through the conventional qualifying system, then their play-off place will go to the next highest placed team their Nations League group - if all the teams in a Nations League group qualify, then the play-off place goes to the next highest ranking team who have not qualified.

For example, if Denmark finish in the top two of their qualifying group and Wales finish 3rd in theirs, Denmark will go to straight to Euro 2020 and Wales will take their play-off place.

The teams who have guaranteed at least a play-off place are: Belarus, Ukraine, Holland, Kosovo, Denmark, Switzerland, Macedonia, Georgia, England, Scotland, Serbia, Portugal, Norway, Bosnia, Sweden and Finland.

All very straightforward.

The draw for Euro 2020 qualifying will take place on December 2nd 2018 in Dublin.

We are currently on bad form and I am not very optimistic about our chances of qualifying, giggs hasn’t a clue imho.

should we not qualify through the qualifiers we need 11 of the 18 countries ranked above us { all of league A..the 4 mini group winners from league B plus Russia and Austria } to qualify through the main groups to get drafted back into the play offs.... it is done by overall ranking not by who finished nxt in the qualified teams mini league..

If we were in a group with just the teams from pot 6 I wouldn't be optimistic of qualifying.
