Have a look at independence square, Dynamo Kiev stadium, they've got a football museum there but it's not up to much. People there are ok, a bit miserable but you won't get any aggro from them. Taxis are cheap as chips, our hotel, the hotel Rus, was brilliant, late bars, lap dancing club, good food, and it overlooked Dynamo Kiev's ground. If you got time go to their military museum, we missed out on it but it's supposed to be well worth a visit. Definitely recommend Kiev.
