Cardiff City's relegation rivals Fulham have reportedly joined the race to sign Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne on loan.

Clyne — currently out of favour and lacking first team game time under Jurgen Klopp — was on Neil Warnock's radar ahead of a January loan swoop.

But The Sun now claims Fulham are leading the chase for Clyne's signature with Claudio Ranieri eyeing more January recruits to help the Cottagers' survival bid.

Leicester City are also interested, according to reports.

It is claimed Ranieri has made an enquiry to opposite number Klopp to have Clyne on loan until the end of the season, with the player reputedly keen on a move to London.

Clyne finds himself behind Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez in the Anfield pecking order and it seems certain he will seek pastures new in January.

Looking to Cardiff City's January transfer window.

Leicester are also keen on the 27-year-old, with the race set to hot up between now and the New Year.

No player is worth too much negotiation. If he wants to come great ,if not forget it and move on.
In the summer we buggered about with Grujic and consequently spent last minute time finding midfielders. Fortunately we did better than the original idea in that but it delayed the securing of a striker past the deadline.

Sir Neil told us that he was going to do the negotiations in October and November then move quickly when the time comes, and that is what we need to do.

Do players signed during the window need to wait till window ends before they can play, or can they be put straight into the 25 man squad when they're signed. ???

He will either want to come or he won't. Don't go chasing him like we did with Grujic. Move on and ensure we gat players who want to play for us like Arter and Camarasa.

He might or might not want to come but my gut feeling is Warnock will want to sort out getting a striker in on loan first.

I would think it would be easier to get a fullback in for a few than a striker with the way we spend.
