Well, let's hope Spurs give them a hiding on Wednesday, to knock any growing confidence out of them!

not sure where failing comes into it tbh, I don't think he is great but failing?
did well enough with Wales to be given the Blackburn job, did well enough there to get the Man City job...got sacked by them for too many draws....1 defeat in 19 competitive games the year he got sacked....Fulham he resigned quoting lack of ambition by them....QPR sacked for being in relegation zone but that's exactly where they were when he got there...Stoke..their 3 highest prem finishes and highest top tier position for 30 years..and Southampton , pretty much where they were when he went there.....
seriously what would not be FAILING at these clubs ?...even City { who are a top 6 club now }hadn't won a trophy since a lge cup win in 1976..

You are correct apart from when he took over at QPR. Hughes took over QPR from our very own Neil Warnock, who never had QPR in the relegation zone until his sacking. The QPR board never backed Warnock with funds and much to Warnock's annoyance, they then backed Hughes with 30 million to strengthen the squad as soon as they appointed him. It was enough for Hughes to just keep them up, but he then squandered tens of millions on some disastrous signings the following season taking them deep into the relegation zone and got sacked. I think it's fair to say with the money Hughes was given to spend, he failed at QPR.
I think Hughes should have done a lot better at Southampton too, they have some talented players and I'm worried a good manager will get them improving very quickly. It's unbelievable that yet again, a rival team sacks their manager just before playing us. Southampton will be a much different proposition now, that's for sure!
