Interesting comparison vs last time in the top flight

Postby dorsetblue » Sat Dec 08, 2018 6:28 pm

After 16 games we were three points better off due to having three draws instead of defeats this time round, but we were also four points ahead of bottom 3 in what most fans considered a good start. Finding our feet with a settled club this time, all looking good. :bluescarf:btw goal diff was only five better.

It all fell apart after Xmas last time, if we had just maintained the first half we might have been ok? Be nice if we could turn over of the big ones at home.

This team is different. The other faded and didn’t have tie balls this team has. Totally different feel, better energy better unity it’s been fantastic.
You have to go through the bad times to appreciate the good times!!!

Not sure about the squad. What we lack there we make up for with the manager.

Yeah the squads are close but I think NW is able to put together various plans and has the players for that. Malky didn’t have a plan B and OGS not a plan A.

When you consider value for money it’s not even close.

100% agree! This season's team would wipe the floor with the previous one. I wouldnt mind Medel, Mutch and Bellamy though!

I would love Medel but Arter is class. Bellamy for his overall package but Murphy’s pace is excellent and he has a tonne of potential. I prefer Camarasa to Mutch any day of the week.

Medel is the only one I would have. We had him in good form. Bellers was quality but we had him on the wane and was restricted in games he could play. Medel and gunners would easily be the 2 defensive midfielders Warnock could use. We thrashed medel as no one else could do his job that's why he faded.
