NEIL WARNOCK: " Kenneth Zohore "

“He’s training, he was involved yesterday, he’s had a week with Lee (Southernwood) doing his fitness and he joined in with us with some ball work and then did extra physical stuff.
“It’s down to him, he knows what I think about him and you never know, we could see the new Ken Zohore.
“I’m not sure (if he’s available for selection) as he hasn’t had any game time. He’s running about so it’s whether I think he could do half an hour. I honestly don’t know.”

About Watford

Watford Football Club is a professional football club based in Watford, Hertfordshire, England, that plays in the Premier League, the highest level in the English football league system. Founded in 1898 by the amalgamation of West Herts and Watford St. Mary's. After finishing the 1914–15 season as Southern League champions under the management of Harry Kent, Watford joined the Football League in 1920. The club played at several grounds in its early history, before moving to a permanent location at Vicarage Road in 1922, where it remains. Watford spent most of the following half century in the lower divisions of The Football League, changing colours and crest on multiple occasions.

England manager Graham Taylor's tenure at the club saw Watford scale new heights. Between Taylor's appointment in 1977 and departure in 1987, Watford rose from the Fourth Division to the First Division. The team finished second in the First Division in the 1982–83 season, competed in the UEFA Cup in 1983–84, and also reached the 1984 FA Cup Final. Watford experienced a decade of decline between 1987 and 1997, before Taylor returned as full-time manager, leading the team to successive promotions from the renamed Second Division to the Premier League for one season in 1999–2000. The club experienced a further one season stint in the top division of English football during the 2006–07 season, under Aidy Boothroyd's management; eight years in the Championship followed. Watford secured promotion in 2014–15, and have competed in the Premier League since the 2015–16 season finishing 13th, 17th and 14th respectively.

Watford is owned by the Pozzo family, which also owns Udinese Calcio in Italy and previously Granada CF in Spain. Sir Elton John, who owned Watford during both of Graham Taylor's successful periods as manager, served alongside Taylor as the club's joint Honorary Life President until 2008, only to later resume the role he shared alongside Graham Taylor until Taylor's death.

Agreed. Though id rather see Morrison score a winner in last seconds of the game. But I do think a draw.

Watford go to Everton tonight.

After a very strong start, they’ve struggled for form recently. They haven’t won since October 27th - losing four of their five league games since then.

It will be a tough game with our poor form away from home. So for me I’ll be happy with a draw which is my prediction. Although with them only getting 1 point in there last 5 games (which was an away draw to Southampton) I feel that there self confidence will be down so in reality, it’s probably the best time to play them. Fantastic if we win! It will influence the Man U game

Have a feeling we may get our first away win of the season. Going to be tough, but I think we can sneak a 1-0 win here.

watford are a much better team than anyone we have taken points off this year. they will control possession, and i would be surprised if we even got a point.

The pressure is all on Watford as far as I'm concerned, admittedly out away form is not good , so for me there is no reason not to throw caution to the wind and set about them , I think we will gain at least a point .
You are my Cardiff !

Will Hughes and Andre Gray both missed the trip to Everton on Monday and have failed to recover in time for the Cardiff clash.

They will be joined in taking up a watching berth by Adalberto Penaranda and Sebastian Prodl on Saturday, although both the Venezuelan and Austrian may not have been involved anyway.
“Will Hughes and Andre Gray are out of the team in this moment after picking up contusions. Will’s is on the hip and Andre’s is just below the knee,” Gracia explained.

“Sebastian Prodl has a little problem in his knee and we will need to assess him. Penaranda continues with the same problem with his foot and, in moment, these players are out.”

Gracia did have positive news to share on Cleverley, who has not played during the 2018/19 campaign after undergoing surgery on an Achilles problem in pre-season.

The midfielder has been back in training for a number of weeks and Gracia says Cleverley, while still needing to gain full match fitness, is available for selection.

“Tom Cleverley is training really well. He has played with the Under-23s and in this moment he needs to improve his condition,” the Spaniard said.

“I think he is close to coming back. He needs time in training like he is getting at the moment but he can play the next game if I decide and is available for Saturday.”

Last time out

The last time the Bluebirds visited Vicarage Road in November 2014, they left with all three points thanks to Adam Le Fondre’s early goal!

The big problem is it is difficult to be to optimistic about us away from home. We are good at home terrible away. One stat that sums it up is that away we have scored less goals than any team in the top seven tiers of English football. Granted most of those teams have played more games than us but it is still an awful stat.

Watford will be missing several players for the Premier League match against Cardiff.

Forward Andre Gray (leg), midfielder Will Hughes (hip), Adalberto Penaranda (foot), defender Sebastian Prodl (knee) are all unavailable, while midfielder Etienne Capoue serves out his three-match ban.

Tom Cleverley is close to a return after being sidelined since January with hamstring and Achilles problems, but the midfielder will be carefully managed.Provisional squad: Foster, Cathcart, Kiko, Holebas, Kabasele, Sema, Doucoure, Quina, Pereyra, Deeney, Success, Gomes, Mariappa, Masina, Wilmot, Chalobah, Deulofeu, Okaka.

Kenneth Zohore could return to the Cardiff squad.

Zohore has taken part in training this week after being sidelined by a calf muscle injury, although Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock is undecided in terms of any involvement for him at Vicarage Road.

Jazz Richards, though, is set to remain sidelined because of hamstring trouble as Cardiff look to build on last weekend’s win against Southampton.

Provisional squad: Etheridge, Smithies, Peltier, Bennett, Morrison, Manga, Connolly, Cunningham, Bamba, Arter, Ralls, Gunnarsson, Damour, Camarasa, Harris, Hoilett, Ward, Paterson, Reid, Murphy, Zohore, Mendez-Laing, Madine.

Watford are better than both of those. More Premier League quality, nouse and knowhow. If Will Hughes is out, that's good news for us, as he is an important player for them.
