Former Manchester United striker and ex Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is one of several former players under consideration to be the club's caretaker boss until the end of the season, Sky Sports News understands.
The 45-year-old is currently in charge of Norwegian side Molde but is linked with taking temporary charge of United following the sacking of Jose Mourinho on Tuesday morning.
Solskjaer made 235 Premier League appearances for United, hitting 91 goals including the injury-time winner in United's 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

I don’t think they could possibly be that dull could they.
They’d be better off with Russel Slade.
Solskjaer teams are unfit and unorganised asking for trouble.

According to the Telegraph, Sir Alex Ferguson’s long-term former assistant Mike Phelan is set to make a return to Old Trafford to help Solskjaer.
A club statement on Tuesday morning read: "Manchester United announces that manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect.
"The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and wish him success in the future.
"A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager."

Talk is,Man Utd are in disarray, Mourino, after a league cup & Europa league cup victories 2017/2018 there was no money for Mourino in the Summer,and problems running deep in the boardroom,they could fall in like a pack of cards.
