“ Sala deal “

Mon Jan 14, 2019 11:00 pm

Seen a lot of people suggest that because Emiliano Sala has returned to France, it means he’s not signing for us.

All major reports seem to suggest the deal is still on, and he’s expected to sign for us very soon.

Let’s not forget that the player is relocating to another country, and therefore will want to bring his family over with him. He will want that to happen ASAP. He will also want to say goodbye to his team-mates at Nantes.

These deals can be done remotely as we often see on Deadline Day, with the contract faxed over - if it hasn’t been signed yet. If he hasn’t had a medical yet, that doesn’t need to be done in Cardiff. It can be done in France.

All the signs suggest he will soon be our player.

Moreover one poster on here in particular will look rather silly for suggesting Warnock and the board were going to France as some elaborate ruse to trick the fans.

This is what his Agent said....

Emiliano Sala's agent has lifted the lid on talks between the striker and Cardiff City.

The Argentine flew into South Wales today to discuss a possible move to the Bluebirds.

The £18million-rated frontman has been on manager Neil Warnock's radar for some time, with an initial move for the 28-year-old knocked back.

It is believed that the Nantes man was unwilling to move to Cardiff, but the goalposts seem to have shifted, with the centre-forward in the Welsh capital for talks on Monday.

His agent, Mark McKay, told Sky Sports News: "Emiliano was very impressed with what Neil and Mr Choo had to say and with the club itself."

Talks are said to be have been "constructive" and Sala is now believed to have headed back to France while negotiations between the two clubs continue this evening.

This backs up earlier comments from City chairman Mehmet Dalman who revealed at the weekend that a deal for Sala wasn't dead....

"Sala, nothing is dead until it is dead, there is still dialogue going on and we will see what happens over the next few days," he said.

"Fans should not worry the funds are not there, absolutely not, that would be extremely unfair."
