Southampton tickets/ home end if can’t get one

Postby stan106 » Wed Jan 16, 2019 12:26 am

Hi
Pretty straightforward about 6-8 of us try and do a jolly boys outing once a year
We’re all season tickets but as said only go about once a season away
Anyone know when the tickets are out or if we’re in with a shout of getting any
The other option was as my son lived in Southampton wa to ask him to get us tickets in the home end and had anybody know the safest place to sit
We will be respectful not like that Man U lot
Cheers

If you're members (you say you're STH's) then let the football or supporters club know you want to go and it may influence the number of tickets asked for :thumbright:

Not sure of the exact 'qualifying' criteria for the first round of sales but suggest it will be 3 or 4 away games attended this season before reducing (or not) according to take up

Southampton's away capacity is c.3,300 and from previous experience I think a large number of Cardiff fans will want to make that trip but it is no good booking a few days before, as our club need to make decisions on numbers due to the cost (to them) of non-purchased tickets, as highlighted on this very Forum recently

Cardiff will have 3000 in the Northam Stand mate which is shared with Saints fans who are pretty vocal and passionate so your best bet would be the opposite end which is the Chapel End where the more friendlier Saints fans congregate so less chance of aggro provided you don't go looking for any trouble. Hope this helps. Terry

Went there last time and we had a big allocation that day.

Was a good trip down there, obviously helped by the fact we won on that occasion.

As pointed out above, a lot will depend on how many the club think they can sell. Will be a big match for us so hopefully the club take the bigger allocation.
