"Cardiff offered Seven times Sala's his present salary, we could not compete."
Nantes Coach: Vahid Halilhodzic
“Sala was very much appreciated. He’s a very endearing boy. I have no grudge against him. I really enjoyed this player. But the proposed salary weighs in a decision.”
Nantes coach speaks out on Sala
Neil Warnock’s not the only one to have been facing the media today.
Nantes boss Vahid Halilhodzic has been speaking head of his side’s clash with Angers this weekend.
Unsurprisingly, the departure of Emilano Sala is one of the talking points...
“I have to prepare the game. This group, this team needs me. I have to keep my feelings to myself, even if it’s not easy right now.
“For three months, we’ve been working a lot, we’ve put a lot of things in place."
“I received a message from the president last night to inform me that Sala would go away. I also had it this afternoon, we talked about a lot of things.
“Sala is 28-years old. Cardiff offered him six to seven times his salary. I might have made the same decision if I had been in his place,we could not compete.”

I would not doubt it,in the Premier League main strikers are £60,000 - £150,000 a week, 99% of Prem clubs paying that.
It is shocking.

99% of 20? who's the remaining 0.2 clubs?

If Sala plays Sunday for Nantes, Sala can't be a Bluebird till Monday.

Want the whole saga over with and get on with the football.
Guess it’s just modern football!

Exactly that's all we wanted, and if we fail then at least we give it a good shot
