Defining Week?

Sat Jan 19, 2019 5:16 pm

After a very poor performance last week against Huddersfield with no attempts on target we followed it up with another poor performance today with only 1 attempt on target. We go away to play teams in & around us and obviously we would be happy with a point but when we fall behind why don’t we give it a go?

Can’t work out what Josh Murphy & Bobby Reid have done wrong? Although not the best defensively Murphy is our best attacking threat. Didn’t get a look in last week & didn’t come on until 82nd minute today.

Surely when you go 2 down you make a few changes and give it a go. Instead Murphy came on in the 82nd min & Ward in the 89th minute. What’s the point? Reid came on after we went 2-0 down and did more in 5 mins than most of the other players in 90 mins.

Really frustrating that we go away and don’t give it a go (Watford an exception but too late). We didn’t give it a go, neither did we set up for a draw playing with no defensive midfielder & Gunnar on the bench, why?

Been a really bad week on the pitch & unless there is a huge improvement things are looking bleak.

Would love to see Murphy given a chance ahead of Hoilett & Reid playing just behind Niasse/Sala. Paterson has not played well for some time but seems one that can’t be dropped.
