LIFEBOATS?

Tue Jan 22, 2019 12:44 pm

Would they have had equipment on the small plane to blow up a small lifeboat in the event of an emergency? Do they have this stuff on big planes and small planes also?

Heard on the radio that because it a private plane they don't have to have the stuff which would be on a passenger plane. So just hope that they have some emergency equipment.

A guy on sky sports news mentioned dry suits that will prolong the amount of time that can be spent in the water, and he also mentioned a life raft. Assuming the pilot realised they were going down the dry suit is probably a given. But, no one knows what’s actually happened so anything is pure speculation. So it’s a case of waiting for actual facts now.

The most telling aspect is that it went from the radar at 2300ft and lost contact.

Also lots of questions about the suitability of a flight over water with one engine, was suggested on talksport by a pilot this morning.

Aviation law means that any vessel to be used to cross water HAS to have life rafts on board.

How these may have been assembled in such a potential disaster is another matter. Fingers crossed

Anyone who would get on a small plane crossing the sea thats not got a lifeboat life jackets and wetsuits and all the right safety equipment would be crazy. Surely this stuff must have been on board the plane.

Just as a point of order, it is very unlikely that a plane below that sort of height would be visible on radar. Still, it doesn't look good. Terrible news. :(

they should use submarines to look under water to locate the missing plane instead of helicopters because ok the plane lost control but it is where is has gone down, this is more important. and submarines can go very deep in the water so in case it went down and continued to sink the submarines can follow it down.

Would it be possible the plane along with sala and the pilot hit the water and just sunk to the bottom of the ocean?
