Cardiff current form - looking good

Postby Bluebina » Wed Feb 13, 2019 12:20 pm

We are doing well, here are the stats for the statto's!

9th in the League over 8 games :ayatollah:
13th over 6 :ayatollah:

It looks a good time to play Everton, Brighton and Fulham.

Burnley are looking strong in 5th for both, but have had a very good run of games the next 6 will tell us more.

https://www.soccerstats.com/formtable.a ... ue=england

Any thoughts on our form and the final positions of the bottom 8?

Personally, I think we will be Ok with Brighton going down with Fulham and Huds, and at least Southampton also below us in 17th

Also, we are out of both cups and most of the injured players are coming back, we had some great additions in the window and Ken's back on form and is going to be like a new signing :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I hate these type of negative posts. Over the last 2 games we'd be At least tied top

I don't know, it just shows 6, 8, 10, and 12, we are doing ok, and Brighton's form is terrible in all of them !!!

I am sure some stattos can provide some more information, with who left to play etc, but I think we will be ok, we seem to be growing stronger!

Current form means nothing... form is a measure of past performance only. We have a break now and need to regroup as the momentum of the last two victories will have evaporated

As the saying goes " Form is temporary, class is permanent." A long way to go yet.

Disagree, current form is important and builds confidence, granted it can change quickly, but its positive for us that we are in good form, and also positive that Brighton are in terrible form.

Of course it’s positive that we have been in good form - but it is no indication as to future scores in the same sense that our previous bad form had no indication towards our recent upturn in form. In short our current form does not help predict the future and in my mind have already discarded as any way of determining how we will perform this Friday.

No, I think your wrong past form is an indicator of future form, would you rather play an opponent that is 20th on current form or 5th?

Anyone in their right mind would rather play the team on a poor run surely?

I think there are too many components to make it that simple. Would I rather play Huddersfield after they drew 2 and won 1 of their last 3 games or perhaps a Man Utd side who have drawn 1 and lost 2. I’d rather play the Huddersfield side regardless of form as we would have a better chance. Our form is good over a 2 game period but it depends over what period you want to define form. If not for a 94th minute winner v Southampton our form would currently be viewed by most as bad.

Any more straws you can clutch, a simple question would you rather play Huddersfield if they had just won six in a row or just lost six in a row.

The answer for anyone sensible would be to play the team in poor form, and of course, there are other things to consider, but being in good form is positive !!!

Not the best example though really...Huddersfield were on a worse losing run that that when they turned up here and we scraped a point

You must be thick as shit if you don't understand it's better to play a team in poor form than good form, Huddersfield are always on poor form
