I got confused with this last night.
It's like they started with a 30 second silence then went on to start clapping..
Does this usually happen these days?

Personally I've always liked the idea of a minutes applause under the right circumstances. Certainly seems apt for the Gordon Banks tribute, one final round of applause from the English fan base for all he did.
