HOW ON EARTH IS THIS POSSIBLE? OPINIONS?

How on earth is this possible?

Our Country is not only a joke, its as backward as some of the countries that these “refugee’s and jihadi’s “ want to leave. If you fight at a football match, you get a travel banning order.

However if you go to Syria and fight for ISIS, you get a free flight home, unlimited benefits and a free home.

A British man fought ISIS got 8 years prison

A former British soldier has been sentenced to spend seven years and six months in a Turkish jail for fighting against Islamic State militants in Syria, alongside Kurdish militia forces.

Robinson, who toured Afghanistan with the Duke of Lancaster’s regiment in 2012, went to Syria in July 2015, days after a terrorist killed 38 tourists including 30 Britons in a mass-shooting in Sousse in Tunisia.

He has said he was inspired to go to protect civilians from Islamic militants, after becoming incensed by gory Isil propaganda videos and what he saw as British inaction in the region.

Robinson spent four weeks with the People’s Protection Units of Syrian Kurdistan (YPG), working as a combat medic according to his family. He then crossed into Iraq to join Iraqi-government-backed peshmerga forces fighting Isil, before returning to the UK in November 2015.

Membership of the YPG is illegal in Turkey, where the government argues the group is affiliated to the Kurdistan Workers’ party (PKK) which has waged an insurgency against the Turkish state for decades. The YPG is not a proscribed terrorist group in the UK.

On his return Robinson was arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences by British police at Manchester airport but all charges were dropped after a ten-month investigation.

Then last July, while on holiday in Turkey with his fiancee and her mother, Robinson and both women were arrested in an armed raid by Turkish police in the town of in Didim, 60 miles north of Bodrum.

This is information that’s in the public domain, yet when this whores lawyer was interviewed by the BBC this morning, he blamed “the authorities “ for allowing her to be radicalised and not preventing her from travelling to Syria. The interviewer failed to mention the fathers extremist religious views and how he passed them on to his children.

They allowed it to be all one sided, I watched it, no doubt, the UK tax payers will soon be having to pay her transport back, find a new home for and pay her big benefits.

Former British soldier jailed for nearly 8 years in Turkey after being accused of fighting against Islamic State
Save

15 SEPTEMBER 2018 •

A former British soldier has been sentenced to spend seven years and six months in a Turkish jail for fighting against Islamic State militants in Syria, alongside Kurdish militia forces.

Joe Robinson, 25, of Accrington in Lancashire, was convicted of being a member of a terrorist organisation.

He was sentenced on Friday but was still out on bail a day later, the Telegraph understands. The Foreign Office said it was “standing ready” to provide consular assistance.

At the time his fiancee - Bulgarian Mira Rojkan, 22, - told The Guardian that police had surrounded the trio while the holidaymakers were dripping wet and wearing towels, having just returned from the beach.

Rojkan and her mother were released after six days. Robinson was released on bail in November, but had to remain in Turkey.

After his arrest in Turkey his mother Sharon, 48, said: “When he went to Afghanistan it was hard, like for any mother of a soldier.

“Then he went to Syria, came home, and was arrested here. When those charges were dropped I finally thought it was over and I wouldn’t have to worry about him any more.

“And now this. I feel detached, like I’m on tranquilisers, but I’m not.”

The Kurdistan Solidarity Campaign praised Robinson for "selflessly" battling Isil, and called on the Government to stand up for the former soldier.

"Joe is a hero to all who value peace and freedom against the dark forces of oppression, enslavement, rape and terrorism which IS represent," a statement said.

Local media reported that pictures of Robinson on social media, wearing military clothes with Kurdish insignias, were used as evidence of membership of a terrorist group. The website Kurdistan24 said Robinson has spoken to his mother by phone and intends to appeal his sentence.

The UK is currently reappriating many criminals to the West Indies, Nigeria and so on. We are insisting they take their subjects back, can we insist they we don't take British nationals back? The Kurds are insisting that they can't feed them, provide health care and so on. This is a question based on current law not an opinion btw. I don't know the answer but it's more complicated that just saying no.

Don't forget if she come back not only will she get benefits and a house the taxpayer will have pay for a new identity for her and police protection, as an aside, the baby was born in Syria and not on a uk army/airforce base so the baby's nationality is Syrian not British

They are both technically terrorists/ War criminals .

Both should be allowed home and then tried and imprisoned in this country .

YPG are viewed by Turkey and USA as being closely affiliated to the PKK who are a violent separatist movement with Turkey

Sorry Annis , but where do you get the idea from that British people who have fought for ISIS get a free flight home , a free house and unlimited benefits? That is simply not true and never has been.

The ex-soldier arrested seems to be a harsh case , but that is the Turkish government`s decision based on their interpretation of what is a terrorist organisation and nothing at all to do with British law or a British government decision.

She was killed a few years ago. It is racist if the person it is directed at considers it the term 'white widow' to be prejudice, discrimination or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

It's possible because it's a small part of a huge and regrettably successful campaign to destroy western democracies from within.

Keith you could describe Annis' comments as being a bit exaggerated but there is a basis of truth. ISIS fighters would have been flown to the UK free if they had reached a British consular. The UK Government may then invoice them for the privilege but whether that would ever get paid is up for debate.

On return to the UK the ISIS terrorists would be entitled to claim Housing Benefit which in affect would give them 'free' housing. They would also be able to claim benefits.

I heard that several are receiving ESA based on the traumatic events they suffered in the middle east which makes them unfit for work it is possible to receive up to £190pw. Also they can claim further money from Personal Independence Payments which can add another £140pw. As mentioned above they would also receive Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit and that is before any payments for family members such as wives and children.

Payments are not automatic and must be applied for and the claimant must fit the criteria. But it is far from unlikely that at least some ex-ISIS fighters are receiving large benefit payments.

Thanks Tony , because I value your views on topics such as this.

My belief is that there is vast exaggeration by right wing bodies about the potential scale of this potential problem , but little or no evidence that it has happened or will happen in the future.

Perhaps sensible to apply for a Freedom of Information Act question as to how many British ISIS fighters have been repatriated to the UK and , of those , how many are eligible for state financial support? Might then give a clearer , accurate view of what the actual position is.

My personal opinion is that anyone who makes the free decision to fight for an organisation against his own forces should automatically lose all UK citizenship rights under law.

The goverment can cancel her passport (if she has one) as it is not a given right for a uk citizen to have a passport, and therefor she would not be allowed to travel, so she would be stuck in Syria, simple really but I guess no one is going to do that

as for this moron who joined up with ISIS, anyone who does that has no place in UK society. unlike ISIS, we respect the rule of law, and i'm sure there are laws to stop someone of obvious danger to the general public coming to live amongst us (and off us).

she's made her bed, and i'm sure ISIS will provide her with the free healthcare and council house she wants off us, if she asks nicely.
