Decent team, more or less at full strength!

Junior Hoilett 1-0

Class!
Sat Mar 09, 2019 3:18 pm
15 mins and we have 51% possession
fit camarasa and arter really changes the team

Solid
Cardiff are doing a great job defensively, in particular their wingers Murphy and Hoilett who are coming back to help fend off Anderson and Snodgrass - the West Ham danger men out wide.
The Hammers are stringing some passes together but it’s not leading anywhere.

West Ham increasing the pressure
West Ham’s fans are keeping themselves amused by making a fair din.
Their side are starting to ramp up the pressure, with Cresswell often available on the overlap. Nothing to test Etheridge yet though.

Southampton down
Cardiff need to keep finding Camarasa. He’s the one helping their transition from defence to attack, though Niasse is losing out to West Ham’s centre-backs.
Southampton are 1-0 down to Tottenham by the way.

Warnock happy
Neil Warnock will be absolutely delighted with this.
West Ham haven’t had a shot. Cardiff’s defence, midfield and attack are all functioning well. They need to keep it up, because West Ham will have their moments.

Balancing our midfield has been the Achilles the past five years. When we do!

Arter is going to be lucky to end this game on the pitch, one way or another.
Sat Mar 09, 2019 3:41 pm
First 'shot' for West Ham
The first West Ham shot of the game comes via a 45-yard effort from Mark Noble to catch Neil Etheridge off his line. It’s a simple save - and it sums up how the Hammers have been unable to break down the Bluebrids.
Arter is down for Cardiff and receiving treatment.

Great display so far! Downside is got people sitting inside watching rugby?
Sat Mar 09, 2019 3:49 pm
Good chance wasted
Snodgrass blazes West Ham’s best chance of the game over the crossbar. Should have done better with the time and space he had.

in to 5 mins

Marko Arnautovic is on for Felipe Anderson for the visitors.
Sat Mar 09, 2019 4:10 pm
Arter wide
Arter and Hoilett do brilliantly to battle for it in midfield and come away with the ball.
Arter then drags his shot horribly wide though.
Sat Mar 09, 2019 4:12 pm
2-0
Sat Mar 09, 2019 4:19 pm
The Cardiff fans are enjoying themselves... as Niasse is put clean through on goal but somehow steers it wide.
West Ham take Lanzini and Noble off, with Antonio and Nasri on.
Sat Mar 09, 2019 4:24 pm
Shame could be 3 or 4. Niasse missed 2 decent chances.
Sat Mar 09, 2019 4:25 pm
Bennett hobbles off
Joe Bennett is forced off through injury, with Leandro Bacuna coming on and Lee Peltier shifting to left-back.
Sat Mar 09, 2019 4:26 pm
Cardiff keep catching West Ham on the counter - with the game now really stretched.
The Hammers continue to play with Camarasa down injured on the far side, seemingly with cramp.
Sat Mar 09, 2019 4:27 pm
Camarasa concern
This is a worry for Cardiff. They won’t want to see Camarasa go off - he’s been excellent today.
Warnock might have to prepare another change though...
Sat Mar 09, 2019 4:28 pm
Camarasa off
Sat Mar 09, 2019 4:28 pm
Joe Ralls replaces Camarasa. Let’s hope it’s nothing too serious for the Spaniard.
Sat Mar 09, 2019 4:33 pm
All West Ham now, even hit the post
Come on City
Sat Mar 09, 2019 4:35 pm
Hammer pressure
West Ham are now piling on the pressure, with Antonio’s shot blocked and Arter doing well to bring the ball away for Cardiff.
It keeps coming back at them now, though...
