Another premier league side facing the reality of another season in the championship.
Probably their best chance of going up was with Moore.
Shocking decision.

It does seem harsh, but some of ours were calling for Dave Jones to go when we were in a similar position.

Such a big gamble as they could easily drop out playoffs if care takers dont do well? The pressures of trying to get out of championship mean no room for more than 4 defeats in row!! But whos available that's any good ? :o

Championship poorer this season.

Teams haven't invested at much as previous years

No better year to get promoted

WBA wavering

Can understand totally

Every season the same old stuff gets said, the championship was weaker than normal etc etc

championship is poor this year, top of the league you would normally need at least 2 points a game or more.

I think it is.

Last year Fulham and Wolves spent over £50m.

This season until this month anyone could win it

WBA having come down and with squad and money should romp it

Serves them right for demanding £500,000 for Koumas after we generously offered to take him on a free.

Que Sol Campbell, Paul Ince and Garth Crooks moaning about a lack of black managers in the league and the fact Moore didn't get the same opportunity as a white manager to turn it around.

oh f**k off don’t you get bored trying to bring this stuff up when it’s been mentioned by nobody

The only thing which is a dead on certainty in the championship is Leeds are going f**k it up,top of the league and you f**ked it up.

Shocked by this.

I know they’re probably out of the race for top two now, but could still have gone up from the play-offs.

He brought much needed stability there at the end of last season, this could destabilise them again.

Seems harsh looking in from the outside but not up to speed with the goings on at WBA so can only think they have their reasons

Basically their CO said they expected to be promoted automatically with squad they have and as thats looking unlike they've pushed the button not 1st time club as underestimated the championship. :old:

Clubs haven't spent but by same token they've kept a premier squad exemption swans! The other big clubs have spent money though, the championship is the hardest league to get out of without exception so to say it is weak is wrong .

not sure you can judge the division by how many points per game the top team gets..
hypothetically if Man City had been parachuted into that division with their current squad for breach of ffp rules , you would expect them to get an enormous points tally . would that really make it a better division ?

Drat! You've gone and spoiled it for the know-it-alls! :( :laughing6:

Actually a good season in The Championship; and that is amply evidenced by the likes of world class (according to one certain Troll) Aston's Villa and the self-styled Swansealona being pegged back into mid-table positions

Seems a little harsh on Darren Moore but it may just be that the 'magic dust' has fallen off him, as it did to Craig Shakespeare at Lineker City?

Think Leeds and Norwich will take the top two (Automatic) positions with Middlesbrough grinding out the play-off spot

West Brom were playing much better when Harvey Barnes was on loan to them. He was tearing the Championship a new one and Leicester recalled him in January. Now a regular in the Leicester side.
A very hard player to replace for WBA. Very harsh sacking imo.

You don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes..

If the owners didn’t like him.. gotta go.

True to a degree but they got relegated for a reason so not Prem squad.

Must be more to it

For me this is the most harsh and unfair decision in the Championship history.

If that is what the CEO is thinking then they deserve to stay down now. I could understand it if they were doing a Stoke but they are far from that. There were serious problems at WBA and Moore nearly pulled it off last season but it was a bridge to far. Most clubs in that position usually get relegated and stay down for a few seasons. Some actually get back to back relegations. For Moore to keep them intention was an extraordinary effort. As sais above they must have their reasons but from the outside it looks like a shocking decision.
