Ryan Giggs has named his squad for Wales' clashes

Tue Mar 12, 2019 3:49 pm

Ryan Giggs has named his squad for Wales' clashes with Trinidad & Tobago and Slovakia.

Gareth Bale has been included, despite currently being sidelined with an ankle injury.

The Real Madrid star missed his side's La Liga clash with Valladolid at the weekend after suffering the foot problem during Los Galacticos' Champions League defeat to Ajax last week.

However, the record goalscorer of the men's team features in Giggs' bumper 31-man squad for Wales' upcoming double header.

One surprise inclusion sees midfielder Will Vaulks earn his first ever call up.

Giggs has recently watched the Rotherham man - born in Merseyside - in action and could well give him his Wales debut against Trinidad & Tobago.

Other youngsters including Daniel James and Rabbi Matondo are also included in the squad.

Neil Taylor returns to the squad, but there's no place for fellow Euro 2016 heroes Andy King, Joe Ledley or James Chester who miss out due to injury.

Surprised Bale has been named considering he’s been nursing an injury the past few weeks

Good to see Rabi picked too
