OGS INVITES SCHOLES FOR A CHAT

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has invited former team-mate Paul Scholes to come into Manchester United for a chat following his abrupt exit from Oldham.

Just 31 days after taking up his first managerial position, the 44-year-old quit on Thursday suggesting he had been misled by the Boundary Park hierarchy.

Solskjaer did not appear entirely surprised by Scholes' exit from the Sky Bet League Two side - and would welcome him to come into the Aon Training Complex.

"Were you (surprised)?" caretaker United boss Solskjaer said with a smile. "Well, he's probably got his reasons why he left. You've got to ask him (if he will go into management again).

"He's invited here if he wants to come and have a little chat about it. I've texted with him of course and it didn't work out as he wanted, so that's just management."
